In much better times, back when Democrats were going to save the world from the evil Bush regime, Nancy Pelosi uttered words that changed America forever and provided hope to the masses: those words were her pledge to lead the most honest, open, ethical Congress in history. Oh how times have changed. Now Obama's approval ratings are down--a new poll released today shows him as low as 41%, Congress has an 11% approval rating, private sector jobs still aren't showing up despite flowery and optimistic talk coming from the White House, not to mention the oil spill response from both BP and the White House was absolutely horrendous. Moderate to left leaning Kathleen Parker even wrote an op-ed for the Washington Post, titled' Obama: Our First Female President' in response to Obama's style of leadership. Now that's embarrassing. In comes Reps. Charlie Rangel (D-NY) and Maxine Waters (D-CA) adding to the ever compiling list going against the Democrats favor this fall. Rangel is now facing a trial on 13 ethics charges that will surely carry through to the elections. Rep. Maxine Waters, a 10-term representative from California, has also been charged with violating ethics rules, setting the stage for a second trial. When the Democrats took back control of the House and Senate in 2006, Nancy Pelosi made that magical statement about leading the most honest, open, and ethical Congress in history. Not only that, she talked up bipartisanship to a level that's nowhere to be found. In fact, it's pretty apparent that they have used controversial tactics multiple times to pass bills-- such as health care-- making backroom doors and buying votes. That's only one of the many. Not very honest, open, or ethical. These trials only add to the plethora of broken promises and downright lies Pelosi promised. Here she is in 2006, on a mission to be the savior of politics along with fellow Democrats as a standard to live up to:

Transparency.

Flash forward to when Rangel first became an issue earlier this year. In February of 2010, Pelosi still claimed she was leading the most ethical Congress ever.

Right. They're playing hand is dwindling fast, so now they've resorted to attacking the Tea Party and starting race baiting games everywhere you look. Too bad this wont work and is extremely old and worn out. People are sick and tired of all of this, no matter how "glass is half full" Pelosi continues to be.

Perhaps the biggest annoyance to them is the fact that others are starting to use their Alinksy tactics. That's essentially their only "upper hand", and it's being used right back against them. They are scared and have no idea whatsoever how to counter this besides going to the bottom of the gutter, which is essentially Alinsky tactics to begin with.  Surely you can't play rough and expect others to sit back and take it with a smile on their face.

People are not happy with the "most ethical Congress in history", and they will show it at the polls this upcoming November.

To finish, let's take a look at a chart of the current unemployment rate sitting at 9.6% since jobs are the most important issue to Americans. The chart traces all the way back to 2000, via the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Click on the image to enlarge.

It's not that Obama, Pelosi, Reid and the Democrats are delusional to what's going on, they just want you to watch one hand while they're doing something with the other.

Let's also not forget that the Democrats have had control of the House and Senate since 2006. No matter how much they spin anything this campaign season, it simply won't work.
