Taxpayers Fund $150 Billion of Perks Annually for Illegal Aliens, Including Biden’s ‘Parolees,’ Such as…

Thanks to Pres. Biden’s program providing “parole” to illegal aliens from countries like Haiti and Cuba, the American taxpayer is footing the bill for a host of costly benefits available to those who circumvent the legal immigration process, the House Budget Committee was informed Wednesday.

“They come in illegally; we are granting them citizenship-like status,” Rep. Josh Brecheen (R-OK) noted a hearing titled “The Cost of the Border Crisis.”

Under Biden’s parole scheme, which continues to be challenged in court, immigrants immediately become entitled to taxpayer-funded benefits, Brecheen said.

At Brecheen’s request, Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) Executive Director Julie Kirchner listed some of benefits U.S. taxpayers are paying to provide Biden’s parolees:

For the purpose of federal benefits programs, ”parolees are treated like legal, permanent residents,” making them immediately entitled to taxpayer-funded benefits like work permits, Social Security numbers and Obamacare, Kirchner said.

What’s more, “They will get back money, when they file” their taxes. “We will give them money back…it’ll be a net gain for the migrant,” courtesy of refundable tax credits, Kirchner explained.

And, in five years, Kirchner said, all of Biden’s parolees will be eligible for “everything under the sun,” including:

  • Medicare,
  • Medicaid,
  • Social Security income,
  • TAMP,
  • Food stamps, and
  • Federal student aid.

“If your kids go to college, they’ll be eligible for federal government money to go to college,” if they’re Biden parolees, Kirchner said.

American taxpayers spend more than $150 billion a year on illegal immigrants, Kirchner explains in her written testimony, citing a study conducted by FAIR:

“Our estimate, which is a conservative one, is that Americans now pay $150.7 billion dollars annually due to illegal immigration. This figure represents a net cost. In terms of gross expenditures due to illegal immigration, we estimate that Americans pay $182 billion. Approximately $31 billion is received from illegal aliens in taxes, only 17 percent of the costs they create.”
