Is That Legal? AOC Tweets Out Advice to Illegal Immigrants on How to Avoid ICE, Subvert U.S. Law

Let me get this straight. An American politician is advising non-American illegal aliens on how to avoid American laws? It’s one thing for an “activist” or non-governmental worker advising people on how to subvert federal law, but when it’s an elected official giving the advice, should it raise a red flag?

In advance of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids that were eventually postponed for two weeks by President Donald Trump, socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) tweeted out methods in which illegal immigrants, who were at potential risk of being deported, could possibly avoid ICE and remain in the country illegally.

Here’s Ocasio-Cortez’s tweet:

The socialist representative from New York also retweeted instructions tweeted out by United We Dream, a George Soros-backed anti-borders, pro-immigration activist organization. Ocasio-Cortez also added a suggestion for people to house illegal aliens so that they can have a “safe space or haven” from ICE.

Check out the retweet in question below:

However, such actions — suggesting the actual harboring of illegal aliens — could potentially violate U.S. Code Title 8, “Aliens and Nationality,” particularly Section 1324. That law lists punishments for people who knowingly “or in reckless disregard” of the law “conceals, harbors, or shields from detection” any “alien” who is in violation of U.S. law by residing in the country illegally.

It’s not clear how far Ocasio-Cortez would’ve gone in her protection of illegal aliens, but we should get a much clearer result of her actions if and when the Trump administration goes through with the ICE raids of illegal aliens.

Hey! How did this get here?
