This was likely in reference to Trump's second place showing in the Iowa Caucus. Despite high poll numbers leading up to the day of the Caucus, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) came out on top.
Many commentators chalked it up to Cruz's sophisticated, analytics-driven, get-out-the vote effort which lead to a strong ground game.
Trump's supporters were enthusiastic throughout his speech, and at one point, they broke out into a spontaneous "U-S-A" chant.
