The year is 1947. A dissident Chinese novelist named Lao Tsu secretly releases the manuscript for his most famous magnum opus, “Delphi.” A dystopian tale foreshadowing the coming collectivist apocalypse in Lao’s home nation, “Delphi,” depicts a young man trapped in the dark, oppressive city of the future. Taxes eat earnings like acid eats flesh. Cameras monitor every movement in the “public…

The multi-island paradise of Hawaii is rapidly becoming an Orwellian political dystopia. On July 11, Chris Eger of Guns.Com reported that (no shock) the Democratic Governor of the state, David Ige, signed into effect two new anti-gun statutes that not only infringe on the right to keep and bear arms but also stand as insults to logic and common sense. The first statute, entitled SB600,…

New terms have arisen among common-sense Americans as many leftists have ramped up social justice posturing and attacks on individual rights. In entertainment, Youtube’s awesome “Doomcock” has spread the perfectly apt phrase, “Without respect, we reject,” exhorting people who want quality entertainment and are sick of SJW “wokeness” to stop giving their time, attention, and cash to corporations…

The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals has been a leftist playground for decades. In the 1970s, the yawn-inducing-but-dangerous-to-freedom President Jimmy Carter expanded the number of judges on it, and by 1980, he had appointed fifteen of the 23 on the bench. No surprise, they've left a trail of anti-freedom and unconstitutional rulings along the way. Among some of their stellar and fantastical…

Yellow card! Democrat Senator from West Virginia Joe Manchin just committed two fouls and seems completely oblivious to them. As Selwyn Duke notes for The New American, this great hero of American constitutionalism and fair dealing decided to streak onto the field and patronize fans of female sports by saying he wants to withhold federal funding for the 2026 World Cup in the US until men…

Back in the days of great literature, a self-help book hit the shelves called “Stop The Insanity!” A woman named Susan Powter wrote it as a way to implore people to take better care of their bodies. But the title could be applied today to the unrealistic, fever-dream, manner in which many Americans approach firearms. Another example of the insanity has popped up, like fungus on a…

The bureaucratic idiocracy of contemporary American collectivism is so out of touch, it’s come to this. The President of the biggest labor union in the United States, the organization with lobbyists in every state and control over vast swaths of the content seen and heard by the majority of American kids… the organization that feeds off taxpayer cash regardless of whether the citizens are pleased…

We suffer ridicule and mockery when we note that collectivists are intent on going after peoples’ guns. “Fever dreams,” some say. “Paranoia.” Yet those of us who have a deep understanding of the nature of individual rights and the history of how collectivists attack those rights know the fear is not baseless. It has been realized in nation after nation over time, and in the mindset of…

A few years ago, a collectivist on Facebook attacked me because I dared question a university “social psychology” study that “showed” “liberals” admired “progress” and conservatives were “fearful” of it. My blasphemy was to ask what the study organizers defined – if they did at all – as “progress” when they asked the questions, and what the participants described as “progress” when they…

One is often reminded of the salience of the expression, “actions speak louder than words,” and on July 2, Nigel Farage and his new team of Brexit Party members at the European Union showed the world just how salient it is. According to Natasha Clark, of The Sun, Farage and the 28 other Brexit Party members who recently were elected to serve as Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) did…
