There’s nothing quite like the “tolerance” of collectivists. As we know, they’re all in favor of free speech for themselves and those who will help increase the size of the state, but they rarely respect the speech rights of others. In fact, if you oppose the state or the growth of it, collectivists likely will not only characterize you as a fascist or Nazi, they might also target you for…

One of the essential terms I teach students in economics is what Adam Smith described in his 1776 treatise “The Wealth of Nations” as “mercantilism”. Today, we also know it as “Rent-Seeking”, or by its popular name, “crony capitalism”. In essence, it’s the attempt by a business interest to gain at the expense of competitors and consumers by placing artificial political barriers in the way…

Just when one thinks collectivist social justice warriors couldn’t act any crazier, when, perhaps, just maybe, the bats have finally taken a nap inside the belfry, this comes along. According to Selwyn Duke, of The New American: You’ve heard the claim that boys can transition into girls. Now some British lawmakers and activists want to transition Islam into a race. Yes, consumers. Step right…

Out of Maryland comes a breaking story that serves as a perfect example of how easy it is to become justifiably caught in the details while missing another important issue when it comes to education, freedom, and the state. According to Catholic News Agency, Bethel Christian Academy has brought suit against the government of Maryland after the state cut the school from a voucher program for…

A month ago, I had the opportunity to report on the “world’s oldest record store” banning post-punk icon Morrissey’s new album due to his anti-SJW, pro-British culture criticism of British immigration policies and radical Islamic violence towards people and animals. And, despite being targeted as if by a modern witch hunt, Morrissey is not backing down. In fact, he has stood his ground with…

Here, have a match to light that fuel of indignation… They’re called “Queering the Bible” and “Queering God.” And they’re real. As Ethan Cai reports for CampusReform, Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania is showing fair-minded people that, once more, contemporary colleges are offering young people the opportunity to acquire truly valuable skills to help them in the “real world” – and help…

Bernie Sanders’s ignorance of economics and history seem to know no bounds. The latest? On June 18, the font of wet-lipped wisdom decided to continue his stellar track record of pushing for the opposite of what markets and economic growth need by Tweeting: The video game industry made $43 billion in revenue last year. The workers responsible for that profit deserve to collectively bargain…

The government of the United Kingdom just garnered its first conviction in an “exciting” new field of oppression. It nailed a man for making a 3-D printed gun. As AFP reports, in October of 2017, London police invaded the apartment of Tendai Muswere, a 26 year-old student from Zimbabwe studying in England. Searching for marijuana, the police claim they found the components for an evil inanimate…

It’s gotta be on many an observer’s mind. The stark and obvious question: “Do Andrew Cuomo and his political pals in the NY State government want to clear the state of people and their businesses? Because it sure looks like it. According to Benjamin Storrow, of EENews, after last year’s election handed both the NY State Senate and Assembly to Democrats, the mono-party government has raced to…

It reads like a “Hardy Boys” or “Nancy Drew” title… “The Hardy Boys In: The Mystery of The Political-Puppet Teacher”. But in this case, it’s not the Hardy Boys, it’s one boy. And it’s true. As reported by CBN News and others, an unidentified teen male, possibly named “Murray”, and possibly based in the UK, fired-up his phone-cam after being thrown out of class and ordered to sit in another…
