For some reason, the term “rats fleeing a sinking ship” comes to mind… As the towering halls of Former New York State Attorney General and media darling Eric Schneiderman’s apparent hypocrisy crumble, leftists who previously hitched their political wagons to him, praised him, and fawned over him as a stalwart opponent of that reckless “rapscallion” Donald Trump and a supporter of the #MeToo…

On May 1, a group of American property owners combined forces with the Pacific Legal Foundation to reclaim their right to check criminal backgrounds of prospective renters. Let that paragraph sink in. People suing to exercise the inherent right to control their own property and accept tenants on their own terms, suing to find out what risk potential renters might pose to them, their other…

Those evil homeschoolers have won again. As Michael Tennant writes for The New American, on April 25 the California Assembly was overwhelmed by homeschooling parents, students, and concerned citizens who vehemently opposed a bill proposed by Assemblyman Jose Medina called Assembly Bill 2756.The public appearance was so sweeping and so intense, the Education Committee room could not contain all…

Not many things are more enjoyable than being forced to pay for a public school system that tirelessly works to undermine the moral and ethical principles one tries to teach his or her kids. Examples abound, and this one, out of Westside High School, in Jacksonville, Florida, is a perfect example. On a homework sheet for her eleventh grade anatomy class, Omar Austin’s daughter was to…

Once in a while, politicians do something shocking: they eliminate or push back against onerous and oppressive laws, and, on April 25th, the legislature of Alaska did just that. As the Tenth Amendment Center reports, the Alaskan House and Senate both unanimously approved (40-0 in the House, and 20-0 in the Senate) HB 43, which allows terminally ill Alaskans to skirt the FDA requirement…

Leave it to the leftists to claim they are all for “women’s rights” and “choice”, while lambasting those rights if a woman opts to behave in ways the leftists don’t like. The latest really takes it to a new level. In a mind-blowingly tedious piece for the American Academy of Pediatrics Perspective, Jessica Martucci and Anne Barnhill tell the world that breastfeeding should not be called “natural…

In 1994, criminology researcher and then-professor at Florida State University, Gary Kleck published a groundbreaking study in which he determined that, on average for the period of the study, there were more than 2.2 million defensive gun uses (DGU) per year. People were using guns to defend themselves, a narrative the left doesn't like. Shocker: statists relentlessly attacked him. And why not…

One has to tread carefully in the ceaseless postmodernist battle to frame words as weapons and use the power to define language as a means to stop political debate. A perfect example of that has arisen via a brief report from the Associated Press that was published on Katie Couric’s favorite website, Yahoo! "Hatred of Journalists on The Rise Worldwide, Watchdog Says” is the title of it, which…

It is with a heavy heart that one reports on the inevitable consequence of collectivism, because, since collectivism is predicated on state violence and threats of it, the outcomes are always, always bad. Case in point: Venezuela, where Breitbart’s Ben Kew notes that desperate citizens were attacked by armed police April 20 when they protested the dire lack of medicine and health care.…

Winter is over, but the snowflakes still swirl and dance across the US. This is particularly noticeable in California, where the lefties at the University of California, Merced (located just east of San Jose and San Francisco, in case you want to visit and see these creatures in their natural habitat) are up in arms over a recent protest by College Republicans. As strange as it might…
