Over 10,000 federal employees have dropped off the books in the first six months of the Trump administration.

A jobs report released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) for the month of July shows the non-postal federal agencies employed 2,188,900 workers at the end of the month. That’s down 10,700 from January’s number of 2,199,600 according to the BLS' seasonally adjusted numbers.

According to BLS data, the last six months have seen a steady decline in the number of federal workers, unlike the previous two years  - which indicate an increase in each month with the exception of June 2015.

The number of employed Americans hit a high of 153,513,000 in July according to the BLS, with 345,000 more Americans gaining employment over the course of the month.
