If you needed any further proof of the total infantilizing of America, in which the media pound their fists on the floor like toddlers and the general public are treated like kindergarteners incapable of tying their own shoes, one need look no farther than MSNBC legal analyst – and I say that with anything but a straight face – Joyce Vance, who became absolutely incensed this week that former Attorney General Bill Barr did not…scoop ice cream for Department of Justice employees.

True story.

Vance, who also provides “legal analysis” for NBC, tweeted her consternation with Barr after learning from a “DOJ insider” that President Joe Biden’s AG, Merrick Garland, will “personally scoop ice cream to show his appreciation for employees at a DOJ event later this week.”

“Did not see this from Bill Barr, who dissed career prosecutors as lacking judgment in an interview late in his tenure,” she chided.

Because, after all, that is what one is looking for in an Attorney General: this ability to dish out mint chocolate chip - with extra points if it comes in a waffle cone.

So. Much. Journalisming.

But what’s even more tragic than the fact that Ms. Vance apparently thinks it’s news that Barr didn’t find the time to serve up buckets of Chunky Money and Rocky Road at any DOJ functions while attempting to head up the nation’s foremost legal department is the fact that she missed what might be perhaps the most important question of this whole scandal: how many scoops are employees getting at said function? One? Two?! After all, I’m given to believe that a president getting two scoops of ice cream is cause for a nationwide meltdown, so it’s imperative that the American people be provided with all the relevant facts.
