On top of hordes of illegal aliens swarming into the country, clogging up our detention facilities and overwhelming border agents, overloading our courts and health care system and public schools and city streets, U.S. Customs and Border Protection is now reporting at least five fine folks over on the terror watchlist were nabbed last week in the midst of all the chaos – including one guy from Afghanistan.

Yay.

Fox5 San Diego reports:

An Afghan national on the terror watchlist was arrested at the U.S.-Mexico border near San Diego, according to reports.

… While details on the arrest are few, he said that the apprehension took place after the individual attempted to cross the border alongside a group of migrants near Otay Mesa and appeared to have happened prior to the expiration of Title 42.

The FBI has so far refused to give reporters any more details about who they arrested or what he was on the terror watchlist for – which is very reassuring to a country watching their border spewing like a busted hydrant while we all foot the bill to process, transport, and house all these people.

Shortly afterward, five more people with the terror watchlist were arrested by border agents with the Tucson Sector in Arizona in separate incidents on Friday. According to a Breitbart report citing border agents, the individuals had crossed between ports of entry and had tried to avoid getting caught.

Meanwhile, President Joe Biden took a break from falling off his bike to say the border crisis is going “better than you all expected,” even as New York hotels kick out homeless veterans to make room for recent border crossers.
