A man in Alabama has sued an abortion clinic for the wrongful death of his unborn child after his girlfriend’s pregnancy was terminated against his wishes.

On Wednesday, Ryan Magers filed a lawsuit against the Alabama Women’s Center for Reproductive Alternatives, an abortion clinic in Madison County, after they supplied his former girlfriend with a pill that ended the life of their six-week-old unborn baby.

"It was just like my whole world fell apart," Magers told WAAY-TV. "I believe every child from conception is a baby and deserves to live.”

As The Blaze reports:

A probate judge signed off on allowing the man [Magers] to represent the estate of the deceased fetus, referred to the baby as "Baby Roe," effectively recognizing the unborn child as a human being with legal rights.

Magers’ attorney, Brent Helms—who also represents “Baby Roe”—told WAAY-TV, "This is the first estate that I'm aware of that has ever been opened for an aborted baby."

Magers wanted to be a father to his child and says he begged his girlfriend to see the pregnancy through, but that his pleas fell on deaf ears.

"I just tried to plead with her and plead with her and just talk to her about it and see what I could do, but in the end, there was nothing I could do to change her mind," Magers said.

Though he can’t reverse what happened, Magers wants to be an advocate for men who find themselves under the same set of circumstances.

"I'm here for the men who actually want to have their baby," he said. "Even though there's nothing I can do for the situation I was in, there is something I can do for the future situations for other people.”

Magers is asking for a jury trial in the case and it will be quite interesting to see how it all plays out. Hopefully the would-be father can get some justice out of this unfortunate situation.
