When you think of all-time “warmongers,” which names come to mind? Former Vice President Dick Cheney? President Joe Biden? Any other of the establishment swamp monsters as well. One name comes up as much as any other — former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations and former National Security Advisor to former President Donald Trump, John Bolton.
The following will most likely trigger outrage because of how flippant Bolton was during this situation, not only to the journalist asking a question, but to the First Amendment itself.
Independent journalist Tayler Hansen, one of the reporters who tried to help Ashli Babbitt after she was shot and killed by Lt. Michael Byrd during the events of January 6, 2021, has been on the scene for many important events.
This time Hansen was at the Institute for Policy Innovation in Irving, Texas and decided to speak up while Bolton was addressing the audience.
“Mr. Bolton, how do you expect us to trust you when you lied about WMD’s [weapons of mass destruction] in Iraq?” Hansen asked. “You essentially genocided [sic] the Iraqi people, and you covered up war crimes in Afghanistan, sir!”
That’s when people within the room grabbed Hansen and removed him from the event.

On top of all that, Bolton then seemingly took a shot at the First Amendment once the dissenter Hansen was removed.
“Another example of the First Amendment at work,” Bolton said to snide laughter from the audience.
The video then shows Hansen detained in handcuffs and escorted off the premises where the handcuffs were then removed.

I asked @AmbJohnBolton why he lied about WMD’s in Iraq, covered up war crimes in Afghanistan, and celebrated when Julian Assange was arrested.
I was immediately detained and removed from the event. pic.twitter.com/zctfbORghW
The whole situation stinks. I understand that you don’t want people just blurting out anything and everything while a speech is being delivered, but with questions most likely being vetted before they were asked at the event, Hansen probably did what he did knowing they weren’t going to allow his queries. Or Hansen just wanted the scene to unfold the way it did.
Either way, Bolton’s First Amendment quip should send a shiver up every TRUE American’s spine. These are the people running OUR country.
