Finally, a bit of justice was handed out in Oregon last Friday.
A violent antifa activist, who attended the same rally that jounalist Andy Ngo was assaulted at back in June, was sentenced to almost six years in prison for using a telescoping baton that crakced the skull of another man during a confrontation between right-wing activists and members of the far-left, communist group Antifa.
Oregon City-native Greg Halupowski, 24, got two months shy of six years in prison (70 months) following a June 2019 second-degree assault on Adam Kelly in Portland. Halupowski plead guilty during the trial.
Ngo tweeted about the sentence:

The Oregonian reported in July, when Halupowski was indicted, that he would be facing four criminal charges: "second-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon, attempted assault of a public safety officer and interfering with a peace officer."
As Ngo noted in his tweet, Halupowski's defense attorney Edward Kroll thought his client's sentence was too severe while at first acknowledged his client's guilt, saying that despite his client making "a really terrible decision" that he felt the punishment was "one of the harshest sentences I've seen for someone with no criminal background and young age."
People can think this old saying is cliche and overused, but the saying "If you can't do the time, don't do the crime" still comes to mind.
