A potential shooting at the Turnberry Towers condominium in Las Vegas was thwarted Friday when an armed employee wounded the attacker before he could open fire on anyone.

Video of the event on Twitter shows the alleged shooter, wearing a helmet and carrying what witnesses said was an AR-15, shooting through a set of glass double doors before apparently being shot himself and falling to the ground.

Andrew Warrender, 32, has reportedly been charged with attempted murder, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, and a separate gun charge.

A resident of Turnberry Towers told KTNV that an armed employee in the building’s receiving department stopped the attack by opening fire on the assailant. Another resident told Las Vegas Locally, a Twitter account that covers local Vegas news, that there had been an altercation prior to shots being fired.

“Some guy had an altercation with someone else in the valet area, went back to his car in the parking garage and got a gun. Shot up the whole front of our building. All the glass is shot out at valet. Our receiving guy was armed and shot the guy,” the resident said.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has not yet identified anyone involved in the incident, nor have they confirmed or denied the authenticity of videos on social media. According to the official incident report, officers found “a subject suffering from an apparent gunshot wound” when they arrived at the scene, and that subject was reportedly transported to University Medical Center (UMC) Trauma.
