Put aside where you sit in the James O’Keefe/Project Veritas debate, if only for a moment, to understand that news is news, and sometimes it doesn’t matter where it comes from as long as it seems — by all appearances — to be accurate.
While O’Keefe was still part of Veritas, the organization was provided with materials that allegedly belonged to President Joe Biden’s daughter, Ashley Biden. Among the items was a diary in which Ashley divulged some creepy stories about the way her father treated her.
Following Veritas’ procurement of the items, the FBI raided the homes — in the middle of the night, because it wouldn’t be the FBI if they weren’t rude — of O’Keefe and two other Veritas journalists.
However, the main part of a Monday afternoon video release was the audio of a phone call between a Veritas reporter and Ashley Biden. Biden, herself, confirmed that Veritas had her personal belongings, but never spoke of the diary specifically even after she was asked about it.
“Yeah, so if you could just give everything that you have to [her friend] Eric, that would be really great,” Ashley Biden requested of the reporter.

She even threatened, at one point, to get the Secret Service involved in getting her things back that were apparently left in a house Ashley was renting in Palm Beach, Florida.
Keep in mind, all of this was before the 2020 election.
After Veritas returned all of Ashley Biden’s belongings by turning them into local law enforcement, that’s when the raids happened.

Now, it can’t be said for sure that the raids happened at the behest of the Biden’s because Veritas didn’t return the items to the designated person or place they requested. But, it’s certainly fishy when the people who were investigating the Biden’s and Ashley’s items were immediately raided when the Biden’s didn’t get their way.
If you remember, the main takeaway from the diary was Ashley’s supposed admission that she had “sex with friends @ a young age,” as well as having “showers w/ my dad (probably not appropriate).”
