Babies Who Were Born Alive After Botched Abortions Were Left To Die

Health Minister Cameron Dick released some shocking and absolutely heartbreaking information about the abortion industry in Queensland, Australia this past week.

Just last year, 27 babies survived late-term botched abortions. They were all approximately five months along. All of these beautiful little babies could have survived outside the womb if they were given proper medical treatment.

But they weren’t. Instead, they were left to die.

How can people do this?

What makes it worse is that Health Minister Dick attempted to downplay these deaths by stating, “The number of termination procedures where babies are born with signs of life at this stave is a very small proportion of the total live births each year in Queensland.”

There were 27 infants who did not need to die, but did anyway. Precious little babies who were breathing, kicking and suffering and whose lives could have easily been saved. There is no way to put a positive spin on this, Dick.

Queensland Health reportedly confirmed that in such cases where the mother makes a decision to terminate her pregnancy, the baby is not given any care if it is born alive. They make the executive decision to just let it die.

According to the pro-abortion group, Children By Choice, Medicare documented that 15,500 abortions took place in Queensland in 2009.

What’s funny (but not really) is that abortion has supposedly been banned since 1899, but only permissible if the mother’s physical or mental life is in danger.

 Children By Choice reported:

Queensland & New South Wales: Abortion a crime for women and doctors. Legal when doctor believes a woman’s physical and/or mental health is in serious danger.  In NSW social, economic and medical factors maybe taken into account.

Politicians and organizations have been attempting to change this law, including Queensland Senator Larissa Water who says that “decriminalizing abortion would lead to less late-term abortions”

I’m curious as to why she thinks there’s a correlation between the two? I get what she’s saying, but odds are women would terminate their pregnancy earlier and/or abort their baby simply because they didn’t want the child. Am I right or am I right?

Just to top it off, a bill proposed by the Queensland state Member of Parliament in May will potentially legalize abortion, with absolutely no limits, at all nine months of pregnancy.

The bill, as Life News puts it, could become their Roe vs. Wade.
