Seven states filed a lawsuit Wednesday against Biden’s Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) for continuously pushing doctors to "affirm" children’s gender identity through medical procedures, including chemical castrations and even surgery.
According to the Washington Examiner, this lawsuit - brought by Missouri, Utah, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Idaho, and Arkansas, along with the American College Of Pediatricians - comes after “extensive backlash regarding a rule promulgated this April by the Department of Health and Human Services that redefines ‘sex discrimination’ in healthcare programs to include ‘gender identity’ and ‘sexual orientation’.”
Essentially, the Biden administration has been requiring doctors to perform harmful and often sterilizing procedures on people, including minors, who want to appear to be the opposite sex.

The plaintiff argues that the Biden administration's new regulations, which mandate doctors to perform such procedures, violate the Obama-era Affordable Care Act by requiring doctors to act against their sound medical judgment.
Dr. Jill Simons, executive director of the American College of Pediatricians, said, “Our doctors take an oath to do no harm, but the Biden administration’s rule forces them to violate this oath and perform procedures that are harmful and dangerous to our patients — vulnerable children. What the Biden Administration is calling for is wrong and unlawful.”
While it is tragic it has come to the point where doctors are being forced to perform medical procedures that are damaging to children, thankfully these seven states are standing up for doctors’ freedom of conscience.
