Because the world does not have big enough problems, there is a need to discover if milk is a new symbol of hate due to its racist origins.

This taxpayer-funded endeavor in the UK has academics at an Oxford museum conducting an unironic and costly study researching the "colonial legacies" of milk.

As the Times of India reports, “The project delves into how milk was promoted as a symbol of purity and superiority during colonial times, often at the expense of local and indigenous cultures. This research seeks to understand the socio-cultural impact of such promotion and its lingering effects on modern society By examining historical documents, marketing materials, and nutritional policies, the researchers aim to uncover the multifaceted ways in which milk became entwined with colonial ideologies.”

This study is an echo of previous American arguments that claim that the advocacy of milk is filled with racism.

“The federal endorsement of milk in American diets contributes to the problem by uncritically pushing people to drink milk, despite the potential detriment it has on non-white people’s health,” California State University writer Samatha Diaz back in 2017.

Diaz referenced a study that states that 75 percent of African-Americans are lactose intolerant. Therefore, touting the health benefits of milk ignores non-white people, and is intrinsically racist.

The notion that food or drink can be racist and hateful is preposterous. Taxpayers should be intolerant of their money being used for these types of studies.
