The Biden Administration has silently granted ‘mass amnesty’ for hundreds of thousands of migrants in the past two years.

According to a new report from the New York Post, “A report released last month by Syracuse University’s Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC), a nonpartisan data gathering organization that tracks immigration cases and backlogs shows that since 2022, over 350,000 asylum cases filed by migrants were closed by the U.S. government on the basis that those who filed did not have a criminal record or were not deemed a threat to the U.S.”

Essentially, 350,000 illegal aliens - and counting - have seen their cases closed without being denied nor granted asylum, with their cases simply being “dismissed.” This means they no longer have to check in with immigration authorities or show up to court hearings, and are no longer subject to deportation. Dismissing hundreds of thousands of cases gives the false impression that the Biden administration is getting illegal immigration under control, even though the current backlog of asylum cases still stands at about 3.5 million - most of whom are living in the U.S. indefinitely while their cases are pending.

But just because an illegal alien doesn’t have a past criminal record doesn’t mean it’ll stay that way. The NewYork Post reported that “ICE officers who spoke with The Post flagged an increase in cases of migrants committing crimes after their asylum cases have been closed. This forces agents to restart removal proceedings, which typically take years.”
