An unidentified elderly man in Hancock, Michigan is in critical condition after what police are calling a “politically motivated” attack on Sunday.
At 5:45 p.m. last Sunday, a man began to pull out yard signs supporting former President Donald Trump when an 80-year-old man began putting them back. The man then got on his ATV and ran him over. The senior man has suffered serious injuries and is now in critical condition at the local hospital.
The ATV driver is suspected of being involved in 3 incidents, all of which are presumed to be “politically motivated.” Police reports, according to The Blaze, also assert that "The subject appeared to target both Trump and Law Enforcement supporters.”

The suspect was identified quickly, because on the day following the attack police received a phone call from someone confessing a crime involving an ATV from the last 24 hours. However, when police showed up at the address associated with the caller, they discovered "a 22-year-old male suspect...found deceased with a single self-inflicted gunshot wound." They also found the four-wheeler used in the incident.
It’s tragic how politically motivated hate crimes such as these can cause so much destruction to both young and old lives alike.
