A previously deported Honduran illegal immigrant has recently been charged in Florida for sexually assaulting a fourteen-year-old girl.
Kevin Mauricio Escobar Munoz, 20, was arrested Wednesday on charges of sexual battery and burglary by the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, according to ABC News. Reportedly, Munoz broke into the girl's home a little before 7 a.m., where she woke up to him covering her mouth and then proceeded to sexually assault her.
Although he was previously deported in September of 2022, he seemed to have no problem re-entering the country and committing more crime.
The incident happened in April of this year, but DNA results on the fourteen-year-old girl just revealed the assaulter to be Munoz. He’s currently in Okaloosa County Jail with an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainer placed on him.
Okaloosa County Sheriff Eric Aden told ABC that the southern border needs to be secured and that illegal immigration should end.
“I can tell you from a sheriff’s standpoint or local law enforcement, I’m tired of it,” Aden said. “There’s a process and I understand it’s arduous, but many people do it the right way. But coming across our borders and being able to have the benefit of citizens that local citizens don’t even have, it has to stop.”

Many share his sentiment regarding stricter border control, especially with the ever-increasing rampant crime that has plagued the country in recent years. Since President Joe Biden has taken office, there has been a record number of unchecked immigrants, with little to no resistance, crossing the border with no end in sight.
This is far from an isolated incident, which raises the question; How many more little girls need to get raped or crimes committed before the Biden administration does something to restrict the uncontrolled border?
