Ben & Jerry’s co-founder Ben Cohen is showing his support for Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) by adding a the Democratic Socialist to his company’s mix of political ice cream varieties.

The Vermont based ice cream giant pushes Bernie in a new flavor that is filled with a “political revolution” in every bite.

Huh?

“[Bernie Sanders] is the best candidate to beat Trump and drive the transformational change that we need to create a country that works for working families,” Cohen tweeted. “So Jerry + I are cranking up the old ice cream machine to show our support.”

The flavor is described as a “Hot Cinnamon Ice Cream with one very large chocolate disc on top and a (very stiff) butter toffee backbone going down the middle.”

The ingredients are supposed to be representations of what our society has become, according to Bernie. On Sen. Sander’s website it says, “The chocolate disc represents all the wealth that has risen to the top 1%. The backbone represents Bernie's steadfast determination to un-rig our economy. And the hot cinnamon is our political revolution holding politicians' feet to the fire to make America work for working people of all races and genders.”

This isn’t the first time the ice cream company endorsed the presidential hopeful. In 2016, they came out with “Bernie’s Yearning.”

Their catering to the “woke” culture continued in October 2018 when “Pecan Resist” appeared on the scene. This ice cream was meant to support “groups creating a more just and equitable nation for us all, and who are fighting President Trump’s regressive agenda.”

Ben & Jerry’s continues to aim their products at people with a specific political leaning. No word yet on how this has affected their sales.
