Joe Biden told a joint session of Congress Wednesday that he is ready to supply institutions of higher education with an endless supply of taxpayer dollars.
“I will say parenthetically, if we were sitting down, got a bi-partisan committee and said okay ‘we are going to decide what we do in terms of government providing for education.’ I wonder whether we would think as we did in the 20th century, that 12 years is enough in the 21st century. I doubt it,” Biden says.
“12 years is no longer enough today to compete with the rest of the world in the 21st century. That’s why my American Families Plan guarantees four additional years of public education for every person in America - starting as early as we can. “
I’m sure once they learn that they’ll be getting taxpayer funds, college tuitions will skyrocket faster than ever before, as early as they can.
Biden was not clear if he meant 4 years of public college or a mix of public college and other education.
