President Joe Biden is being hit with a wave of online mockery for saying his administration is planning to build a railroad “across the Indian Ocean.”
Biden made the claim while speaking to the League of Conservation Voters at their annual dinner in Washington, D.C. Wednesday night:
“We have plans to build a railroad from the Pacific all the way across the Indian Ocean. We have plans to build in — in Angola one of the largest solar plants in the world.”

“I can go on, but I’m not. I’m going off-script. I’m going to get in trouble,” Biden predicted – and he was right.
Video of Biden going off-track with his railroad remark was posted on the Republican National Committee’s @RNCResearch Twitter page and quickly went viral, prompting conservatives to mock Pres. Biden’s plan to build an “8,000 mile ocean train.”
