Former Vice President Joe Biden will be taking on new roles at the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Delaware.

On Tuesday, the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Delaware issued statements about Biden joining their universities. Biden will be leading the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement at the University of Pennsylvania while running the Biden Domestic Policy Institute at the University of Delaware.

The Penn Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement will be based in Washington, D.C. and, according to Biden, will focus on “promoting and protecting the post-WWII international order that keeps the United States safe and strong.”

Despite not teaching a class at the University of Pennsylvania, Biden has reportedly been named the university’s “Benjamin Franklin President Practice Professor.”

Meanwhile, the Biden Domestic Policy Institute will allegedly be a “a new research and policy center focused on developing public policy solutions on issues ranging from economic reform and environmental sustainability to civil rights, criminal justice, women’s rights and more.”

The Biden Institute will lead to more teachers being added in subjects such as “smart cities, environment and energy, social justice, and disaster management.”

The University of Delaware is Biden's alma mater.
