Even as New York City buckles under an unmanageable deluge of illegal aliens who’ve overwhelmed shelters and are now camped out in droves on sidewalks outside overrun hospitals, our border continues to leak like a sieve thanks to Biden-backed leftists policies that encourage illegal immigration and show no signs of stemming the tide anytime soon.
And actually, make that “borders.” Plural.
It seems our northern border is just as vulnerable as our southern, albeit somewhat less used. But that doesn’t mean it’s not being exploited by people who don’t care about our immigration laws.
Apprehensions along the Swanton Sector, a 24,000-square-mile area of the northern border that runs along Vermont and New Hampshire, have topped 5,400 in the past 10 months, totaling more than the entire nine previous years combined.
Swanton Sector Chief Patrol Agent Robert Garcia sounded the alarm on Twitter, posting photos of illegal aliens crossing the border - many by cover of night - while adding, “Apprehensions have topped 5,400 in just over 10 months—eclipsing the previous 9 years combined. Our #BorderPatrol Agents are tirelessly patrolling 295 miles of border, and YOU CAN HELP.” He then posted a phone number people can call to report suspicious immigration activity.

Meanwhile, illegal immigration is once again surging at the Southwest U.S. border, despite sweltering heat reaching into the triple-digits in the Texas and Arizona deserts. CBS News reports agents in just one border sector are now apprehending as many as 1,900 illegal aliens per day, a spike of 134% since June and more than double the number they were apprehending this time last year. The long journey and dangerous heat makes for a deadly combination for migrants, including young children - and that’s to say nothing of the danger from traffickers often paid to ferry them across the border and dump them on the other side.
Daily migrant crossings along the Arizona desert have spiked by over 100% in recent days, despite temperatures surpassing 110 degrees.

In New York City, the sidewalks are overflowing with migrants who've been bussed to the Big Apple and have overwhelmed local homeless shelters, churches, and the hotels the city government has packed out using taxpayer cash.
