Isn’t it sad that the people in charge of a good portion of our justice system in big cities either suffer from brain-numbingly low levels of intelligence or are just plain liars? Or both?

Take Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner who, like most leftists, can never accept blame or responsibility for the society he helped shape. For instance, his city is riddled with crime, particularly of the violent variety.

But don’t tell Krasner that, because he’ll just blame it on the “Orange Man” or any political counterpart in order to avoid the very adult practice of accepting responsibility for your own failures.

So today, I’m going to show you how dumb Kranser is — or how much of a liar he’s made himself out to be. You see, just a couple of months ago, I took a deep dive in the cities Americans “appeared most likely to try to leave,” with crime being a primary motivating factor for their possible departures.

For his part, Krasner made an appearance on “Good Day Philadelphia” on Wednesday and was confronted by the reporter about his policies not working to decrease crime, specifically homicides.

Krasner initially just dismissed the reporter, saying “it is working,” before the reporter followed up his response with an actual crime statistic.

“There’s 1,000 people killed in 20 months,” the reporter said to Krasner.

“The rate of homicide in Trump states, as compared to Biden states — take all 50 of them — is 40 percent higher,” Kranser replied.

Krasner then went to call Republicans liars in a pot-meet-kettle response.

To be fair to Krasner, he probably doesn’t even know where the numbers he cited came from, but we do. Enter national think tank, Third Way.

According to their website, Third Way is a progressive think tank that identifies as “center-left,” but believes “they must relentlessly re-imagine their policies, strategies and coalitions.” The group touts endorsements from the New York Times and Reuters, both left-leaning outlets.

The 40 percent number that Krasner cited is according to Third Way and the statistics are from 2020. This study was also reported by the National Criminal Justice Association. They can get away with the statistic because they reference states, not the cities where the crime is happening.

Take that in to account, along with the fact that one of the authors of the study (Jim Kessler) used to work for Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.). The other author, Kylie Murdock, used to intern for Rep. Barbara Lee (D-Calif.), as well as work with more than one left-leaning, activist organization.

According to the Major Cities Chiefs Association (MCCA), out of the 16 major cities that have been tabulated to have over 100 homicides from January 1, 2022 through June 30, only one didn’t have a Democrat mayor (San Antonio). And that one mayor? He’s Mayor Ron Nirenberg — an Independent.

That’s right. Not a single city out of the top 16 in homicides has a Republican mayor. Some of those cities do indeed reside in Republican states, but the cities themselves and the violent crime that’s within them is the result of leftist policies.

As for the study that cited a couple of months ago, it was a study by real estate brokerage firm Redfin, reported on by CNBC.

Every single one of the top 10 cities people were looking to flee and had already vacated were Democrat-run cities. Not only are those cities run by the left, but they’ve been run by Democrats for decades in most cases.

Krasner can blame his shortcomings as an efficient mayor on anything or anyone he wants. The proof is in the pudding, and the pudding leans left.
