BLM Leader: 'If This Country Doesn't Give Us What We Want, Then We Will Burn Down the System and Replace It'

The far-left leadership of Black Lives Matter (BLM) can demand whatever they like. They’re entitled to free speech, along with the rest of the rights that are afforded to every American. But, that’s all they’re entitled to. In order to be “entitled” to something you have to have done something to be “entitled” to another something. These “Marxists” — their words, not mine — want handouts, because they only thing they feel they need to do to be “entitled” to what they want is to protest and complain. The rest of us work for what we have. They should try it sometime, instead of thinking that their activism is actual work.

Hawk Newsome, president of the Greater New York chapter of Black Lives Matter, joined Martha MacCallum on Fox News Wednesday to talk tough about the “change” his group is demanding. Not asking for, but demanding.

There were a couple of comments in particular that Newsome said that should raise the eyebrows of anyone thinking about following the group. As I’ve said before, the sentiment of the phrase “black lives matter” is fine. It’s the mindset of those in charge that people are ignoring and shouldn’t condone.

Here’s part of what Newsome said:

…it’s interesting that you would pose that question like that because this country is built upon violence. What was the American Revolution? What’s our diplomacy across the globe? We go in and we blow up countries, and we replace their leaders with leaders who we like. So for any American to accuse us of being violent is extremely hypocritical.

No matter what their theories are about the history of the United States, that doesn’t make the violence CURRENTLY being carried out in the BLM name excusable. But like one of the leaders of Seattle’s failing CHAZ experiment said, “by any means necessary.” Sorry, but crime is not the correct answer to crime. Heck, it’s not even about George Floyd anymore. It’s about complaining hard enough until everyone gives in to their authoritarian demands.

Newsome’s most fiery comment was yet to come, however, and the BLM leader didn’t mince his words after MacCallum pushed back against his previous comments.

“The only reason why I posed that first question to you the way that I did is I watched you talking on a bunch of different interviews today and you said, ‘burn it down,’” MacCallum said to Newsome. “You said, ‘burn it down, it’s time.’ That makes me think you want to burn it down.”

“I said, ‘If this country doesn’t give us what we want, then we will burn down the system and replace it.’ Alright?” Newsome responded. “And I could be speaking figuratively. I could be speaking literally. It’s a matter of interpretation.”

Well, which is it? You’re the one talking, so only you can tell us the meaning of your words. But this is typically what activists do. They almost speak in code so they keep others guessing, while they know perfectly well what their aim might be down the line.

The organization of Black Lives Matter aren’t who the media and politicians are portraying them to be. Don’t believe me? Just read what they believe.
