As endorsements go, this one’s certainly different. 2020 presidential candidate Mike Bloomberg has released a 10-second ad saying, “Big Gay Ice Cream is the best!”
The official campaign ad, released Tuesday on Twitter, simply shows the candidate asking for ice cream. He receives a container from the Big Gay Ice Cream chain, stabs a spoon into it and gives it a taste.
“Mmmm, Big Gay Ice Cream is the best,” Bloomberg flatly declares. It's not a particularly convincing endorsement, as you can see for yourself below.

The question is, what are we supposed to read into such a statement? That he likes ice cream? That he supports the LGBTQ community because he likes Big Gay ice cream? That he endorses Big Gay ice cream?
At the end of the day, it would be more impressive to see Bloomberg endorse a soda...and drink it with a plastic straw.
This particular endorsement appears to leave more questions than answers in its wake.
