Anthony Weiner, formerly a rising Democratic star and the husband of longtime Clinton aide Huma Abedin, is reportedly expected to plead guilty in federal court Friday to distributing obscenities to a minor after he was discovered “sexting” a minor last year.

According to prosecutors, the aptly-named Weiner sent pornographic videos to a 15-year-old girl in North Carolina, and solicited obscene material from her, as well, all while using the alias “T-Dog.” Which, if possible, actually kind of makes the whole thing even creepier.

According to NBC News, Weiner is expected try and cut a deal to avoid jail time by pleading guilty to the child porn charges. While prosecutors will reportedly ask for two years of jail time, Weiner’s attorneys are said to be requesting probation. Weiner will likely be forced to register as a sex offender, the New York Times added, citing anonymous sources who've been briefed on the matter.

This is hardly the first time the former Democratic congressman has been embroiled in a sexting scandal. Weiner was forced to step down from a 12-year stint as congressman of New York’s 9th District back in 2011 when it came out he’d been sending explicit texts to another woman who was very much not his wife. Then, in 2013, Weiner was again caught sending inappropriate messages and photos to a second woman, this time under the alias “Carlos Danger.”

Abedin stuck with him through the scandals, publicly declaring she was determined to make the marriage work.

But this latest batch of sexting scandals, during which explicit photos of Weiner lying mostly nude while his newborn son laid sleeping in the background were publicly revealed, turned out to be the final straw for Hillary Clinton’s closest ally. The couple has been estranged since last summer.
