The Christmas season has officially come and gone, but Louisiana Sen. John Kennedy is truly the gift that keeps on giving.
During a presser Wednesday responding to the terrorist attack on New Orleans’ Bourbon Street that left 15 dead and dozens more injured after a man sporting an ISIS flag rammed his car into a crowd of New Years celebrators, Kennedy offered a well-timed and much-needed moment of levity at the befuddled media’s expense. And it was glorious.
As he took the microphone, the senator pointed at a few reporters and asked what networks they were with, first noting a local channel and CBS to his left.
“And NBC is on the right,” someone pointed out to him.
“That’s an unusual position,” Kennedy quipped, eliciting a few chuckles from around the room.
“I don’t get it,” the reporter threw back.

“You wouldn’t,” Kennedy responded, before promptly moving on.

Thank God for conservatives who still know what humor is, and for leftists who still give us something to laugh about in such miserable times.

Plenty of White House reporters took it easy on KJP during the press briefings.
