A new report has emerged claiming that Vice President Kamala Harris’ husband, “Second Gentleman” Doug Emhoff, physically assaulted an ex-girlfriend at a film festival a decade ago.

And, according to Kamala Harris' rules, we should immediately believe her.

The Daily Mail reports that “Vice President Kamala Harris's husband assaulted his ex-girlfriend, three friends have told Dailymail.com.”

“The Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, 59, allegedly struck the woman in the face so hard she spun around, while waiting in a valet line late at night after a May 2012 Cannes Film Festival event in France," the outlet reported.

The news site didn’t name the woman, identifying her by the Pseudonym “Jane” and naming her as a “successful New York attorney” who’d reportedly been dating Emhoff for three months when he allegedly hit her.

The Daily Mail also reported that the outlet had spoken to two of the woman's friends, who said she’d told them about the alleged assault immediately after it happened.

'It was something like 3 a.m. They were trying to get out of there and they both had been drinking. There was a gigantic line for taxis," one friend recalled, saying the friend had actually called him from a taxi right after the assault. "'[Jane] went up to one of the valet guys, offered him 100 Euros or whatever to get to the head of the line. She told me she put her hand on his shoulder. Doug apparently thought that she was flirting, and came over and slapped her in the face."

"She put her hand on the valet's shoulder, and as she was talking to him, Doug comes up," the second friend recounted, echoing the same story "She said he turned her around by her right shoulder, and she was completely caught off guard. He hauled up and slapped her so hard she spun around."

A third friend said the woman had told her about the incident in 2018, while Harris was a then-senator interrogating then-SCOTUS nominee Brett Kavanaugh over unsubstantiated allegations of sexual assault. At the time, Harris bluntly told Christine Blasey Ford "I believe you" when Ford accused Kavanaugh, without proof or outside corroboration, of raping her when he was a student at Georgetown Prep back in the 80s.

It'd be interesting to know if Harris automatically believes this woman, who's accused her husband of beating her - and who seems to have more than just her word to back it up.

“The friends, who all asked not to be named for fear of retaliation by Emhoff, shared with DailyMail.com pictures of him and Jane together from 2012, and other documents and communications corroborating elements of the story,” the Daily Mail added, along with a flight itinerary confirming both the woman and Emhoff were in France at the time of the alleged assault.

It seems like other people have heard that Emhoff’s behavior toward women hasn’t always been on the up-and-up.

“This is a horrifying story. I will say that it matches with something I recently learned from two California individuals who know Emhoff fairly well and said his reputation for poor treatment of women was notorious in their circles,” wrote Mollie Hemingway, editor-in-chief for The Federalist, in a post on X.

Emhoff, who MSNBC's Jen Psaki recently praised for "reshaping the perception of masculinity," made headlines in another Daily Mail report just a few weeks ago that revealed he’d had an affair with - and impregnated - one of his daughters' teachers while he was married to his first wife Kerstin, with whom he shared two children. Emhoff later admitted to the affair in an interview with CNN, saying it largely contributed to the imploding of his 16-year marriage. The second woman, who was also the Emhoffs' nanny, reportedly chose “not to keep” the baby, the report said at the time.

Now, the Daily Mail reports that "Jane" said Emhoff told her that the nanny had accused Emhoff of causing her to miscarry. She says Enhoff didn't offer details and claimed the nanny's allegations were untrue, but added that he'd paid the woman a settlement of around $80,000 and made her sign a non-disclosure agreement.
