A New York woman who deliberately murdered her unborn child halfway through her pregnancy is now suing the DNA company she says gave her false paternity test results.
NBC News details the story of the woman, who they declined to name for “privacy” reasons, who admitted she had an affair with another man while engaged to her fiancé. After finding out she was pregnant, she took a paternity test to find out which man was the father.
According to the results from a test she took at the Bronx-based DNA Diagnostics Center - which she said she took in a clinic that also housed a hair salon - there was a 99.9% chance that her lover was the father of her child, she said. Afraid that having a baby by another man might jeopardize her engagement, she decided to abort the baby.

At this point in a child’s development, he or she already weighs about one pound, has fingernails and hair, and has all of their internal organs. At around 20 weeks, a pregnant mother can usually feel her baby begin to kick, while an ultrasound can show them sucking their thumb.
Even still, New York state law allows a mother to electively abort her unborn child for any reason up until 24 weeks, and permits abortion to protect a woman's physical or "mental health" - a vague provision that can include virtually any emotional distress - up until the moment of birth. At five months gestation, an abortion is performed using what's commonly called a D&C procedure, which involves forcibly dilating the mother's cervix, dissecting the baby's body using serrated surgical knives, and pulling it out in pieces with forceps.
Which is how this woman's child spent the last moments of its precious life, all because of its inconvenient paternity.
Then, about four months after paying an abortionist to kill her child and dispose of the body as medical waste, the woman said she got a follow-up message from the DNA company telling her they’d made an error, and that there was now a 0% chance that the man with whom she’d had a fling was the father of the baby she’d aborted.
Now, the woman is suing, saying she never would have had the abortion if she’d known the baby was her fiancé’s.
“You took away the family I could have had,” she said of the DNA Diagnostics Center. “This was the person I was marrying. This is the person I wanted to build a family with.”
“The reason I took action was because I believed in these results. I thought this was something that was one hundred percent true. And it led me to the abortion,” she continued, adding that the whole ordeal has destroyed her relationship with her fiancé, anyway - and never once owning up to the fact that aborting her own baby was a choice she didn't have to make, and one that she is entirely responsible for.
Yet another horrifically tragic story of a child losing their life because of the selfish, depraved behavior of the very adults who should have protected them.
Here's a thought: maybe don't ho around like a stray dog in a junkyard, and you won't wind up killing your own innocent, helpless baby just to keep from being exposed as a cheating liar.
