Jasmine Crockett wants y’all to now she’s done picking cotton, and we should just let all the illegal alien slaves do it, instead.

The wannabe gangsta congresswoman from Texas went on a tirade during a speech this week where she blasted President Donald Trump’s deportation efforts and defended allowing millions of unlawfully present migrants remain in the United States, arguing that we need them for cheap labor because black people aren’t going to work in the fields anymore.

“I had to go around the country and educate people about what immigrants do for this country, and the fact that we are a country of immigrants. The fact is, ain’t none a’ y’all goin’ and tryna farm right now,” she ranted, to the laughter of her audience.

“OK, so I’m lyin’? Raise your hand…you’re not! You’re not! We’re done pickin’ cotton! We are! You can’t pay us enough to find a plantation!” she went on.

Frankly, as the granddaughter of a farmer who grew tobacco until the day he died, I doubt Crockett would know a cotton field if you dropped her weave-first into one. But that's besides the point.

So let me get this straight - the argument here is that it wasn’t okay to enslave black people, but it is okay to import desperate migrants from other countries and pay them pennies on the dollar under the table to work in sweltering fields picking fruit? Black people are too good to harvest strawberries for $4 an hour, but some impoverished pregnant woman from Guatemala isn’t? We need illegal aliens from El Salvador to work their fingers to the bone, because that's somehow more acceptable than the 200-year-old forced labor of African slaves that so many black liberals want millions in reparations to make up for?

Sounds an awful lot like straight-up racism, to me.

By the way, in case anyone - not Crockett - is interested in the facts, of the 3.4 million total farmers in the United States, 95% rare white, meaning it's those evil, melanin-deprived men who're feeding us, while Crockett makes her $174,000-a-year living off taxpayers to praise the enslavement of illegal aliens for why she has cheap grapes on her table.
