It’s interesting, is it not, that when Donald Trump or his running mate, JD Vance, amplify the concerns of American citizens about hoards of migrants in their communities, highlight the effects of rampant inflation on everyday families, and point out the shocking increase in violent crime in cities like Oakland, California, they’re immediately branded liars by the leftist media, who do Olympic-worthy backbends to accuse them of stoking “panic” and spreading “fake news.”
But when a Democrat openly lies, it’s just “misspeaking,” and conservatives are wrong for “seizing” on it. So it should be no wonder that they keep doing it.
Take, for example, this one: during a Trump rally Monday night, multiple leftwing X accounts, including the Harris campaign-affiliated @KamalaHQ, claimed that Trump had bizarrely stopped in the middle of his rally in Philadelphia and played opera music for half an hour while appearing “lost, confused, and frozen.”
“Trump appears lost, confused, and frozen on stage as multiple songs play for 30+ minutes and the crowd pours out of the venue early,” the KamalaHQ account tweeted.

Ian Sams, an official spokesperson for the Harris campaign, bizarrely suggested Trump had randomly stopped the event for no reason other than to hear some tunes, posting, “Trump had a town hall in Pennsylvania tonight, consisting of pre-screened questions moderated by Kristi Noem. He abruptly cut off the event, then spent 30 minutes simply standing on stage looking at his audience with music playing. Ave Maria played 4-5x. No explanation of why.”

Except that’s not true at all - there was an explanation. A really good one.
According to multiple verified reports, two separate rally-goers experienced medial emergencies starting at about 30 minutes into the event, prompting Trump to pause answering Noem’s questions to call for a doctor to help the people experiencing problems. A second person went into medical distress just moments after the first was finally squared away, and one person ended up requiring a stretcher.
So to pass the time, the crowd - on their own - began singing “God Bless America,” inspiring Trump to ask attendees if they’d like to hear more music while they waited. He also said he wished his team could safely open the doors to the building, commenting on the temperature of the room and asking whether that was causing people to faint.
"Open the doors. I wish we could open those doors to outside," Trump said. "For security reasons, they can't. But you know what I suggest? Open them. Because anybody comes through those doors, you know what's going to happen to them."
"Personally, I enjoy this. We lose weight, you know. No, you lose weight. We could do this -- lose four or five pounds," he laughed.
The Q&A was eventually cut short after being derailed by the fainting episodes and continued stifling heat in the building.
Which, frankly, seems like a pretty reasonable explanation to me.
