House Republicans are reportedly mulling over a reconciliation bill that would cut off Medicaid funding to "family planning" groups who also offer abortion services, a move that would effectively pull all federal taxpayer dollars from Planned Parenthood and cut off roughly a third of the abortion giant's $2 billion revenue stream.
If it’s passed, the House Energy & Commerce Committee’s version of the reconciliation bill would make "large groups who provide abortion services” ineligible for Medicaid reimbursements for other services, such as birth control and other contraceptives. While the Hyde Amendment already prevents federal dollars from being used to directly fund abortions, Planned Parenthood and other groups that exist primarily to provide abortions rake in millions in taxpayer cash for things like “breast exams” (which are not mammograms), STD tests, and other non-abortion procedures - all of which goes to keep the lights on and the organization running so they can also slaughter hundreds of thousands of unborn children a year.
According to their latest annual report, Planned Parenthood performed a record 392,715 abortions in 2024, noting that “Demand at Planned Parenthood health centers in states where abortion is protected has soared by up to 700%.” The group also noted that it helped pay for roughly 15,000 women who live in states where abortion is illegal or heavily restricted to travel to pro-abortion states, where a Planned Parenthood clinic can help them kill their child.
Meanwhile, Planned Parenthood reported it provided a paltry 1,721 adoption referrals in 2024 - roughly 1 adoption per 228 babies murdered.

The group also boasted that 45 of its 600 or so clinics nationwide provided “gender-affirming hormone therapy” to chemically castrate people who want to live as the opposite sex, a claim backed up by new reports revealing Planned Parenthood has been offering cross-sex hormones to children without parental consent.
But while its clinics were busy poisoning and dismembering children and handing out gender-bending chemicals to kids, Planned Parenthood also raked in a record $699.3 million in taxpayer cash, most of which is funneled through Medicaid “reimbursements” for low-income patients.
But while stripping clinics that murder children of their hundreds of millions’ in taxpayer cash should be a no-brainer for anyone with a conscience and a spine, it looks like those two things may be in short supply in the GOP-controlled Congress. Fox News reports several moderate Republicans have already promised to oppose any reconciliation bill that seeks to reign in federal spending by cutting funding for abortion providers, with one person familiar with the discussions saying the members are “not fighting a new fight on abortion when that's kind of calmed down.”
