A previously deported illegal alien from Honduras has been arrested in Indiana for allegedly stabbing a 14-year-old girl at a baseball game in a brutal attack that police are calling "random."
According to this, 26-year-old Dimas Gabriel Yanez was finally tracked down in a cornfield on Sunday following an extensive manhunt that began when police say he stabbed the girl in the hand with a butcher-style knife while she was watching her brother’s baseball game in Lowell, Indiana. When her mother tried to intervene, Yanez reportedly tried to stab her, too, before taking off. Authorities searched well into Sunday before a police officer with the local sheriff’s department finally saw him running through a cornfield, Fox News reports.
Lake County Sheriff Oscar Martinez Jr. said it appeared Yanez had tried to cut off his hair and change his appearance to keep from being found.

Per the sheriff’s department, Yanez had already been deported back to Honduras in 2018, but had returned to the U.S. illegally. Police added he "may have been engaged in criminal activity across the United States since returning to the country illegally."
The sheriff said his office has notified the Department of Homeland Security about the incident and Yanez’s arrest.
For whatever good that will do.
