Country singer Jason Aldean wasted no time giving a shout-out to former President Donald Trump following the assassination attempt against him, which left one person dead and two others critically injured during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania Saturday evening.
At his show shortly after the incident, Aldean, who has been a public supporter of Trump, addressed the shooting from the stage before dedicating his latest hit song to the president.
“What happened in Pittsburgh today with our former president, Mr. Trump,” Aldean began, eliciting a roaring applause from the crowd and immediate chants of, “USA!”
“President Trump’s a friend of mine so I wanna send this next song out to him,” the singer continued. “We all know what’s going to happen come November, so it’s all good.”

“Just goes to show you there’s a lot of bulls**t in the world, and that’s kind of what this song right here was about, so this one goes out to the Prez,” he concluded before launching into his hit single, “Try That In a Small Town,” an anthem that condemns political violence, riots, and anti-cop ideology.
