In an apparent email flub, White House National Security Council communications adviser - and retired admiral who ought to know better - John Kirby dismissed the concerns of former service members who criticized the Biden administration’s botched Afghanistan withdrawal, shrugging them off as just a “handful of veterans” who didn’t deserve a response.

Fox News Digital had emailed the White House on Wednesday afternoon asking for a comment on criticism of the disastrous 2021 Afghanistan withdrawal from four veterans, including Republican Florida Rep. Cory Mills. The group had accused Kirby of covering for the Biden administration’s decision, which resulted in the deaths of 13 U.S. troops.

But instead of responding to his own staffers alone, Kirby apparently hit “reply all” by mistake and included Fox News Digital on his message, which read: "Obviously no use in responding. A ‘handful’ of vets indeed and all of one stripe.”

Whoopsie-daisy.

After realizing his screw-up, Kirby quickly followed up with the reporter, writing, ”Clearly, I didn’t realize you were on the chain."

Yeah, it really sucks when your jackholery gets put on full display for everyone to see.
