A new bill just passed the Massachusetts state Senate that would replace the words “maternity” and “paternity” on state birth certificates and (within other state laws related to paternity) with more “inclusive,” gender-neutral language to appease the gender-bending alphabet mafia.

Massachusetts House Bill 4750 would amend existing law “to replace references to ‘paternity’ with ‘parentage’ and allow for the original issuance or amendment of birth certificates to include information relating to the parentage of a child.”

To keep from offending people who don't "identify" with their biological gender, and to cater to gay couples who purchase children using sperm donors and surrogates, the bill replaces the any mention of the term “mother” with the phrase “person who gave birth,” and swaps “father” out for “other parent.”

And it keeps going. The bill also replaces the terms “a man and woman” with the more inclusive “persons,” and replaces the word “his” when referring to a child’s father with the gender-neutral “their.”

The term “putative parent,” referring to a biological father whose relationship to a child hasn’t been established, would be replaced with “alleged genetic parent.”

Under the new bill, if passed and signed into law, literally every gendered reference to parentage would be replaced with vague, gender-neutral terms.

Of the bill’s 62 sponsors, only two were Republicans, while one is an Independent.
