To be fair, sitting in a congressional hearing - as someone who’s suffered through more than a few - isn’t always the most stimulating of activities. But still, if you’re being paid over $170,000 a year plus benefits by the American taxpayers to sit there, pay attention, and do the people’s work, you should probably have your head in the game.
Or at least, you know, stay awake.
But it looks like at least one lawmaker missed that Basic Parts of Your Job memo this week. Video from a congressional hearing Wenesday shows 71-year-old Michigan Rep. Debbie Dingell (D) out cold at her seat - as in head-back, drooling-on-her-pantsuit gone.

Now, to be even more fair, lawmakers had a late night Tuesday scarfing coffee and marking up the latest reconciliation bill. But watching this overpaid legislator lay there in a coma, you can't help but wonder Americans could go lights-out in a meeting at their job and still remain employed.
