New York City just unveiled their latest "interactive"...er...foot statue in Manhattan.
And it's...well...let's just say, people are struggling to notice the "foot."
The statue, officially titled the "Foot Fountain," was created by Mika Rottenberg, an Argentinian artist who, according to The High Line, "explore(s) themes of labor and how value is created in today’s hyper-capitalist world."
She called the sculpture an "overindulgent creature from my drawings," saying the piece is meant to be a "'radiant ‘footprint’—nurturing and connecting with the land it touches."
Sure. "Footprint." We'll go with that.
