Oh, how the stars have fallen.
Hollywood darling Blake Lively is in some hot water with angry leftists outraged that she used the word “trannies” in an interview.
Like, over a decade ago.
The 36-year-old A-list actress and wife of fellow silver screen superstar Ryan Reynolds is getting raked over the coals on social media after someone with way too much time on their hands uncovered a comment she’d made to Elle magazine back in…lemme check here…ah, yes - 2012.
“I hope to have a few girls one day. If not girls, they better be trannies. Because I have some amazing shoes and bags and stories that need to be appreciated,” Lively said at the time.
How. Dare. She.
Oh, but it gets worse for the “It Ends With Us” star, who is already facing criticism from some people who don’t like how she’s been marketing her new movie (I haven’t read much into why, seeing as I don’t care - Google it at your own leisure). She had the audacity to use the t-word during a 2008 interview when she was still an up-and-coming actress starring in the teen drama Gossip Girl.
“You read the gossip magazines and everybody is dating everyone, everybody hates everyone, everybody’s had tons of plastic surgery and we’re actually men and trannies. You don’t listen to the rumors,” Lively said in an interview with Nylon.
A year later, she told Allure magazine she feels “like a tranny a lot of the time” because she’s so tall.
She then spent the next 10-15 years climbing the star-studded ranks of Hollywood's elite, making box office hits, launching brands, and cozying up to Taylor Swift, all to the bewilderment of her adoring fans...until somebody dug up a sentence she said when she was a hardly-anybody in her 20s, during a decade when everyone used the word "tranny" and literally nobody cared.
