A Jewish student was physically barred from accessing his on-campus class at UCLA Monday by pro-Palestine protesters who told him he couldn’t pass through their occupied territory.
“I’m a UCLA student, I desire to go here, I paid tuition, this is our school, and they’re not letting me walk in. My class is over there, I want to go in that entrance,” Eli Tsives says in the Instagram video, pointing to a doorway behind the line of masked students - some sporting “Free Palestine” shirts - blocking his way with their arms crossed.
Every time he tried to walk through their human chain, they shifted into his path.

Other students can be seen walking freely behind the line of activists, but the Jewish student, who is wearing a cross with the Star of David, is told he can’t pass through.

In his social media post, Tsives said he was repeatedly blocked from using the building's main entrance and was forced to walk around to a side door, despite being a tuition-paying student with every right to freely walk on the taxpayer-subsidized state school.
