Which should be everyone. And yet.
Put into law earlier this year, HB68, dubbed the “Saving Adolescents from Experimentation (SAFE) Act and the Save Women's Sports Act,” prohibits elective medical procedures for gender-confused children like chemical castrations and puberty blockers - which have been proven potentially permanent and detrimental to the continued physical development of a child - as well as mutilating surgeries. The law also bans allowing biological boys and men in women’s sports.

Originally vetoed by Gov. Mike DeWine in December of 2023, the Republican-controlled Ohio state Senate overrode the veto and put the bill into law back in January. The law was quickly stalled by a court following a suit brought by the ACLU which argued in favor of doctors being allowed to mutilate confused children for money.
But on Tuesday, a Franklin County court ruled that the law does not violate the Constitution, and can go into effect.
Because it's wrong - and should never be legal - to destroy the healthy bodies of mentally ill or socially pressured children, or to allow males with undeniable genetic advantages to steal things from women.
