A gay socialist politician in the Spanish municipality of Illescas, a small town of around 30,000 people, has resigned his position as councilor for the Department of Youth, Children and Family after video surfaced showing him advertising bizarre sex acts online, including a desire to eat human poop.
So if you’re grieving America’s loss of decency and common sense, take heart - this appears to be a Western problem in general. Feel better yet?
Daniel Gomez del Barrio, a member of the Spanish Socialist Party, reigned his position at the request of local mayor José Manuel Tofino after multiple pornographic videos surfaced online from as late as six years ago showing Gomez del Barrio asking for sexual partners willing to treat him as “a coprophagous organism” - the scientific term for an animal that eats another’s feces. Reports state some videos show Gomez del Barrio asking to be treated as a "urinal."
And yes, there are videos showing his willingness to participate in such depravity - including, apparently, footage showing him eating his own excrement in his former office. There are screenshots available on X - you're welcome for my not posting them.

According to reports, the videos weren’t exactly a secret in the community even before Gomez del Barrio was appointed to office, raising the disturbing question of why this guy was tapped as a chief legal official for the department of kids and families, of all things. It was only after the videos became mainstream knowledge throughout the town that they became a problem, prompting his forced resignation.
See? It's not just us going to hell in a hand basket.
