A university in the U.K. was forced to move its insanely expensive statue of climate town crier Greta Thunberg after students complained. And to be honest, they had a point.

The University of Winchester reportedly spent £24,000 (about $30,300 in USD) on a life-sized bronze statue of the obnoxious little Swedish girl-turned-obnoxious global warming bellringer, erecting it at its main entrance.

But what I'm sure the school thought would be a major points-score in the social justice category turned into a boondoggle after students complained that $30,000 could have been spent in far wiser ways - like, say, to support the campus. Locals likewise pointed out that Thunberg has no ties to the school or to the local area, making it inexplicable why the university would spent so much commissioning a statue or her likeness.

In fact, given how much time the 21-year-old professional protester spends staging her own arrests outside German coal mines, it's unlikely she even knows there's a true-to-size sculpture of her silently scowling at people outside the Ivory Tower's gates.

Now, after bronze Greta spent roughly two years pointing fingers (literally) at passersby next to the school's front door, the university has moved her to a more "secluded" part of campus - the corner of a courtyard, where not as many people will have to look at her sneer. The school cited the need for a more "stable plinth" upon which to seat the sculpture (which, I'm sure, cost yet more money) as the reason for the move.

Perhaps the only thing more annoying than Greta "How Dare You" Thunberg herself are the weirdos who worship her.
