When the cringiest politician in history meets the cringiest actor, it makes for one heck of a 10-second video clip. And Kamala Harris’ appearance on the Drew Barrymore Show took the cake for cringiest moment.
"I keep thinking in my head that we all need a mom," Barrymore said, shifting so close to Harris she's nearly in her lap. "I've been thinking that we really all need a tremendous hug in the world right now. But in our country, we need you to be Momala of the country.”

"As a woman who respects so much and wants to share and wants to be confident and has no ounce of meek, that has competitiveness — when we lift each other up, we all rise," she continued. "We need a great protector."

Even Harris didn’t quite know how to respond to that one. Then again, she has trouble stringing together a coherent sentence on a good day, so it’s hard to tell if she was as grossed out as us, or if her brain just short-circuited again.
As for Drew Barrymore, I’ll give the woman this - she might not be able to act to save her life, but it takes talent to be able to speak with your nose shoved that far up someone’s rear end.
