The market’s crashing. Our political discourse is a disaster. And World War III could pop off at any minute. So to help you claw your way through with some semblance of sanity intact, here’s your feel-good story for the day.
Country star Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason DeFord, was performing at the Tailgates N’ Tallboys country music festival in Midland, Michigan when he spotted a fan in the front of the crowd holding an IV drip. The “Son of a Sinner” singer paused for a moment to talk to the woman, who told him she was a cancer survivor.

The singer immediately motioned for someone on his crew to get the woman a chair.
"Let's get her a chair,” he said. "Somebody on my team, let's get her somewhere more comfortable to watch the rest of the show. We'll get you off your feet, baby. Okay?”
The incident occurred last month, but the video is just now making the rounds on social media, earning Jelly Roll an avalanche of praise by people who’re clearly happy to just see a decent human being doing decent human things.
Which, frankly, we could all probably use more of these days.
