While the Girl Scouts don't seem to mind offending actual women by inviting gender-confused boys into their ranks and letting biological men dressed as women chaperone overnight events, they sure seem keen on making sure people of all skin colors feel included – even to the point of changing their name to avoid offending idiots who see racism in absolutely everything.

The Canadian Girl Guides’ “Brownies” – innocently named after the brown-colored vests worn by their members – are officially changing their name so as not to offend people of color, despite the fact that the origin of the group’s name has nothing at all do to with brown people, and despite the fact that the only people who’d be bothered by such things are losers with too much free time on their hands who we should all be ignoring on principle.

Because, in 2022, appeasing the Perpetually Offended has replaced common sense, and the New World Order demands your compliance.

According to Girl Guides of Canada, the “Brownies” (which, for those who don't know, is the Girl Scout - or, in Canada, “Girl Guides”- group for 7-9 year olds) are seeking a name change due to the “personal harm” to “racialized girls” caused by their current label, and which only cropped up over the past couple of years after more than a century of the group being in existence.

"We heard from several members and former members that the name Brownies has caused them personal harm, so we are changing the name of this branch to further remove barriers for belonging for racialized girls and women," CEO of Girl Guides of Canada, Jill, said in a statement Tuesday.

"It is clear that this change is the right thing to do – Girl Guides cannot be represented by a term that causes any girl harm," Zelmanovits went on.“Our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion at Girl Guides calls on us to listen to the lived experiences of racialized girls and take action to safeguard these commitments.”

The group’s new name will be announced in January and rolled out by next fall, when things will inevitably be even more stupid than they are now.
